Sisters-In-Spirit is a group of ladies who are nearly invisible, yet powerfully strong. Since 1983 this group has quietly done unselfish acts and good deeds to ease the burdens of others in the community and surrounding area.

Sisters-In-Spirit (SIS) is an interdenominational group
with the sole purpose of providing good will to anyone in need.

"We give freely of ourselves to earn the money to help others"
The group's most primary fundraising activity is auction sale lunches. With the monies raised the group especially enjoys remembering the birthdays of local senior citizens with a gift of flowers and with cards on each of the holidays.

Another favorite is providing each new baby in the community with a gift of diapers.

spacerSIS was organized to accommodate working women and/or mothers.

spacerThe group is community driven and it's main goal is to identify needs in the community so they can offer assistance and ease burdens.

spacerOften times you can see individual SIS members tending to an emergency situation that occurs during the month.

spacerSIS has organized benefits and helped with other benefits whenever the need to assist someone with medical expenses arises.

spacerThey have assisted cancer patients with travel expenses traveling to and from treatment and are notorious for the many pick-me-up baskets they send to area citizens when someone just needs to know he/she is not alone.

spacerOne of our greatest satisfactions is adopting a family, remembering them and letting them know that they are being thought of.

The group meets on a monthly basis to enjoy each other's company. "We know that God created us all with a plan and a purpose. We feel that acknowledgement is not what we are seeking but rather a good warm feeling of helping someone in need."
SIS makes life in Tulare worthwhile and citizens know they can always count on their "sisters" to help in times of need.

The pleasure we have in continuing our Sisters-In-Spirit group
will never end as long as there is still someone that needs our help.
